We Have Light

Five years ago I had my brother-in-law and dad change the ceiling fan in my dining room. During that process some how the light switch that used to turn the fan on and off stop working. I guess that is what you get for free labor!

Our Realtor let us know, that all light switches and outlets need to work. We do not want to give potential buyers any reason to lower the price. We debated on calling and electrician. Since we are cheapo's, we decided to give it a try first. Thank god my husband has DIY mentality!


One day I come home from a friends house to him taking the ceiling fan apart and figuring out the problem.  He was so excited because he realized a few wires were incorrectly hooked up. It took him an hour to take apart the fan and put it back together correctly. I was his helper, handing him parts and holding items in place.

And now we a light switch that turns the ceiling fan on and off!

All it took was a little Google and DIY power. Thanks honey for tackling the project!
