I Think I Eat Cat Hair

Yes, someone eat cat hair here at Beautiful Haven! Stuff like this happens when you have two cats who think the rule the nest.

We finally found time over the weekend (last weekend, I know I'm behind), to made our Valentine's Day treat.  My husband and I have celebrated 4 Valentines together and we made a tradition of making a Valentine treat to share. We have lots of fun picking out what to make  and making the treat (read last years HERE). 

This year we chose Valentine Sorbet Sandwiches from Martha Stewart.

This project was a BIG FAT flop. First we had to wait until 5 days after Valentines Day because baby girl keep us busy (someone forgot she had a bedtime). When we finally started to make the Sandwiches I realized I need to run to the store for a few missing items. We didn't get started until late Sunday night. Once we got started and put the dough on the counter to cut out our hearts  our annoying  cat decided to run across the counter and on part of the dough! I figured it wouldn't be a big deal so we cut out what the cat tramped on and throw it out. We struggled the rest of the way thru the recipe (we are NOT Martha Stewart) , but finally came out with two of these!

They looked good! At first my husband, said it's not too bad. Then a few more bits in he said "I think I just hate cat hair". I had one bite and stop there. We had a good chuckle and went to clean up our messy kitchen.

You can say our Valentine treat was a bust. But I'm happy we still made time for our tradition  even if it was 5 days late. We made a mess and had a few laughs.  And next year we plan to leave the cat outside!
